Taiga To Take A One-Week Break For Personal Reasons

The OG position four player was replaced by Adam “Aramis” Moroz in OG’s DPC Tour III opener against Tundra

Just before OG's highly-anticipated first match in the third Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), the organization delivered an unexpected announcement, revealing that their pos 4 player, Tommy “Taiga” Le, would be absent for the first week of DPC action. Adam “Aramis” Moroz deputized for the Norwegian as an emergency substitute.

With the announcement indicating Taiga's unavailability for “this week,” it raises doubts about his participation in OG's upcoming match against Quest Esports (previously Ooredoo Thunders) slated for May 17, 2023. It remains uncertain whether Aramis will fill in for Taiga once again or if the team will appoint another player to assume the vacant role.

OG often had to deal with first-team absentees in recent months. The lingering stand-in predicament could cast a cloud of uncertainty over OG's performance in WEU Tour 3, amplifying concerns about their prospects for a direct invitation to The International 2023, TI12. With a current ranking of 16th place in the 2023 DPC standings and a DPC points haul of 404, OG find themselves in need of a top-4 finish to rack up the necessary points for Bali Major and TI 12 invites.
