Kapteyn I

Right next door is the Kapteyn system, which keeps its Platinum in its first planet. Kapteyn I hides it's deposits well, warranting a search for mineral veins on foot. Color markers are scarce here, but the rare metal can be found hiding behind large rocks on the sandy dunes. You can either use your Cutter to mine Platinum manually, or establish a fully-built Outpost on Kapteyn I to harvest the resource more efficiently with extractors.

Next is the Mining League on Neon, a sprawling city of metal and ambition. This huge space station has a ton of shops, but you'll be able to find Platinum when you visit the Mining League building.

Within Akila City, you'll be able to find Midtown Minerals. There you'll find NPCs selling Platinum and other mining tools and resources unique to the region.
