The season's final and biggest Game Changers event reaches its climax today, with Shopify Rebellion facing off against Team Liquid Brazil for the coveted title of the top GC team worldwide. Shopify Rebellion enters as the No. 2 seed from North America, while Team Liquid represents the entirety of Brazil in this ultimate showdown.

Shopify's journey through the event has been marked by consistent dominance, cruising to the Grand Finals without a single loss. In contrast, Team Liquid Brazil showcased resilience, staging a remarkable comeback after an initial loss, securing four consecutive victories to earn their spot in the grand finale.

In a recent announcement by Riot Games, it was revealed that Melanie “meL” Capone, the in-game leader (IGL) of SR, tested positive for Covid-19 just hours before the match. As a precautionary measure for the safety of all present at the arena, the 23-year-old will be relocated to an isolated room and will participate in the match remotely.

Shortly following the announcement, the renowned NA superstar shared her disappointment regarding the situation on X (formerly Twitter). Despite this setback, she concluded her message with a determination to give her utmost effort to secure her team's victory, regardless of the circumstances.
