AfreecaTV Valorant League was an OFF//SEASON tournament organized by streaming platform AfreecaTV with a prize pool of $80,000. This event brought eight teams together, including Paper Rex, EDward Gaming, Sentinels, DRX, Liquid, T1 and two more squads from qualifiers.
Sentinels Looking Strong Ahead of 2024 Season
With this victory, Sentinels have proved themselves to be a strong challenge in the upcoming VCT Americas 2024. The North Americans played with their substitute Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, who showed incredible form, cementing his chances of appearing as part of the starting roster in the future in place of the Brazilian player Bryan “pANcada” Luna.
This event was also another excellent showcasing of Mouhamed “johnqt” Ouarid’s IGLing skill, who joined the squad back in September this year. He also scored the highest VLR rating in the Grand Final Bo5 with a 41-35 K-D.
Sentinels’ primary Duelist Zachary “zekken” Patrone had the highest ACS (252) in the match with 53-42 K-D. TenZ continued playing supporting roles such as KAY/O and Omen and had great impacts throughout the tournament. Lastly, Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi’s form was also commendable, as he also secured 50 frags in the Bo3 while playing Initiators.
