Rainbow Six Siege is seeing a resurgence, breaking it's previous record for average player count by almost 1.5k.
Player count in Rainbow Six Siege had been growing slowly but surely during the past couple of years since the game's release in December 2015. But the recent years have been volatile up to this point.
Now, Rainbow Six Siege makes the next step. Within the last 30 days, the average player count is 84,597 — almost 1.5k higher, than last months stat.
The earlier record, which was set in March of 2018, saw 83,112 average players online. Alongside that record, R6: Siege had also set a peak players record that month. In March 2018, more than 176k players were online in R6 at the same time.
Such huge numbers were thanks to Operation Chimera, released on March 6, 2018. The Operation brought a lot of new missions, as well as the game's the first co-op event.
This new record is likely thanks to the Road to Six Invitational Event, which is running over the next few weeks until the Rainbow Six Invitational in Montreal this February.
