Pål “Polly” Kammen is set to leave Apeks after a four-year stint at the club as a player and a coach

After a fruitful tenure with Apeks, Pål “Polly” Kammen has made the decision to move on from the organization. With the impending release of CS2, Polly expressed his willingness to join a new team and help them fulfill their aspirations. e encourages teams in search of an experienced coach to reach out to him.

Polly, as the assistant coach of Apeks, made a vital contribution to the team's remarkable resurgence. The team successfully recovered from a troubled period marked by roster changes, including the inclusion of the esteemed French legend Richard “shox” Papillon. In September 2022, the lineup opted to withdraw from all competitions due to subpar results.

Following the departure of shox, Apeks eventually found their replacement in Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski earlier this year. Since then, the squad has shown remarkable progress in the online scene, climbing the world rankings through consistent performances, including back-to-back second-place finishes in the CCT West Europe Series.

Apeks showcased their remarkable progress by embarking on a stunning underdog journey at the recent BLAST Paris Major. Surpassing expectations, the team triumphed over formidable opponents such as Ninjas in Pyjamas and Liquid en route to an impressive top-four finish.

Polly initially joined Apeks as a player in 2019 before transitioning to a coaching role later that year. Since then, he has been an integral part of the coaching staff, apart from a short period when he temporarily stood in for the active roster in 2020.

Having initially served as the head coach, Polly adapted to the role of assistant coach when Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski joined the team in 2022. His involvement proved instrumental in the team's notable achievements, such as their victory in ESEA Advanced Season 43 and their impressive performance at the BLAST Paris Major.
