CSGO News: Per reports, Team Envy eyeing Karrigan

Team Envy is courting Finn “Karrigan” Anderson to IGL for the team since his stand-in performance at the Americas Minor earlier this year, according to Dekay.

After his departure from FaZe Clan, Karrigan stood in for Team Envy during the Americas Minor. The team narrowly missed a Challenger stage berth. Additionally, Envy was unable to qualify during the Minor Play-in matches.

Dexerto and DeKay are reporting that Karrigan’s contract buyout is somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000. This price tag is on top of whatever contract that Envy would negotiate with the player. If this is true, this would represent a sizeable investment in an Envy team that has struggled to find a place in the NA Counterstrike scene. Furthermore, Team Envy failed to qualify for IEM Sydney, losing 2-0 to Ghost Gaming.

If the move goes through, viewers would be able to watch Karrigan and Team Envy compete in ESL Pro League Season 9.

With the addition of Karrigan, Team Envy’s lineup would be as follows:

Taylor “Drone” Johnson

Steven “reltuC” cutler

Noah “Nifty” Francis

Josh “jdm64” Marzano

Finn “Karrigan” Anderson (reported)

Zachary “Eley” Stauffer
