paiN vs Liquid Preview and Predictions: BLAST Premier Spring American Showdown 2023

There was an upset when these two teams faced off at EPL 17, so there’s every chance that the paiN vs Liquid match in the Semifinal of BLAST Premier American Showdown

When these two teams met in ESL Pro League Season 17, paiN Gaming caused a massive upset that left Season 16 runner-up Team Liquid reeling. The Brazilian squad seems to have turned a corner, and have been producing some commendable results lately. Liquid on the other hand seem to be struggling and unable to find the kind of flow they’d invariably achieve as late as last year. Interested in some CSGO betting or wish to educate yourself on these teams before the game? Here’s our preview.

paiN

It’s been a good start to the year for paiN, and they have continued their run with a win over local rivals MIBR at the Spring Showdown. They took Anubis with ease before being beaten on Nuke in Overtime, but managed to strike back and take Vertigo without much of a fuss. Now they’re up against the mighty Americans Liquid, but they have already tasted that blood earlier, and know what it takes to take the giant down.

Liquid

This year has continued to be unkind to Liquid pretty much in the same way 2022 was. The Americans failed to qualify for the BLAST Premier Spring Finals through the Spring Groups, and after their disastrous time at EPL 17, they must win this showdown gauntlet in order to go through. Liquid made short work of Nouns, but paiN gives them a chance to flex their muscles and get revenge.

When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
