After having just one team from SEA before, this time, the ONE Esports tournament will have two of them.
December of 2019 was an awesome month for the Dota 2 fans. First, we got to see one of the biggest non-DPC tournaments in the last couple of years, the Dota 2 World Pro Invitational. Twelve of the best teams in the world back then gathered to fight for a half-million-dollar prize pool. In the end, it was Vici Gaming that reigned supreme after a 3-0 win over EG in the Grand Final.
These 8 teams will be competing for two spots at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational via the Offline Regional Qualifiers in Malaysia 🇲🇾 and Indonesia 🇮🇩! Who are you rooting for? #ONEDota2 #ONEDota2ID #oneesportsgg #esports #dota2

As you probably remember, we mentioned a few months ago that there will be a similar tournament like the one in December. However, instead of Singapore, ONE Esports chose to host it in Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital. Similar to the other one, there will still be twelve teams fighting for a $500k USD prize pool.
However, instead of having only one team from this region, there will be two SEA teams in total. This was expected, especially after the recent performance of the teams from this region. Nowadays, many people consider SEA to be the second-best region in Dota 2, just after Europe.
One of the SEA teams will be from the Kuala Lumpur qualifiers, whereas the other will be from the Jakarta qualifiers.
There are less than two months to go until we will be able to witness this amazing tournament. The ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational will take place from the 17th to the 19th of April in Indonesia. Expect more information about the tickets, as well as the participating teams soon.
In the meantime, be sure not to miss out on the upcoming Minor.
