According to a blog post from the organization, North will trial former Alternate Attax coach Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg during the GG.Bet ICE Challenge. Former Coach, Alexander “ave” Holdt has decided to step down in order to focus on his family after a year with the team.

North’s Director of Esports, Jonas Svendsen, had this to say of Holdt: “I, and the entire North organization, would like to thank Alex for his contribution and dedication to North over the last two years. Alex is very talented, and we hope that he will return to esports in the future and hopefully in North, says Jonas Svendsen.”
New Coach, New Style?
North has struggled of late, spawning memes of their rough statistical performances. It seems as though Svendsen believes that mithR could be a solution to those problems, saying, “Torbjørn is a very experienced and dedicated CS:GO coach. I believe that Torbjørn via his deep understanding of the game and strong presence in the locker room will be able to help us revitalize the team and our approach to the game and achieve our goals.”
North will debut their new coach at the GG.BET ICE Challenge, starting tomorrow in London. There, North will face off against a (probably) rebranded Heroic.gg, Na’Vi, and AVANGAR for their share of the $50,000 prize pool.
North’s current roster is as follows:
Philip “aizy” Aistrup
Valdemar “Valde”: Bjørn
Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye
Casper “cadiaN” Møller
Nicklas “gade” Gade
Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg (Coach)
