Nine Expects A ‘’Massive’’ Dota 2 Patch Update

The Tundra midlaner hopes to see some big changes in the next Dota 2 patch update

After an underwhelming Lima Major 2023 campaign, where Tundra only managed a Top 12 finish, the British outfit have bounced back with a string of impressive results in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 2: Division I. They did enough to qualify for the Berlin Major 2023, and Leon “Nine” Kirilin played a vital role in Tundra’s resurgence. Nine was over the moon following his team’s win over Gamin Gladiators and discussed his expectations for the upcoming Dota 2 patch update, which is rumored to be right around the corner.

Nine and his teammates will head into the DreamLeague Season 19 next, where they will compete with the likes of Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Evil Geniuses, and others for silverware. The tournament will start on April 9, and if Tundra manage to proceed to the Grand Final, they will share the stage with the other finalist on April 23.

Before getting back in front of the monitor, however, Nine is excited about the new patch update that might roll out pretty soon. In the post-game interview, the 24-year-old his bar of anticipation for the imminent update is sky high.

“I really hope there is one of those classic big patches where you have no idea what is going on and you can play whatever the f*ck you want and no one will eyeball you,” Nine expects the changes to be big in the next update.

“It is also when (referring to new patches) it feels easiest to try out new things and I read the patch notes multiple times before I go to sleep because there is always something you missed, like a small talent change that might be the difference between a hero being broken or not or being viable in mid or not,” he added.

He also revealed which hero he wants to see buffed in the new update. “I don't know if you expect some fun answer right now, but I miss my boy Void Spirit. I try him every now and then and the hero feels so bad right now and I get a little sad,” he said.
