With the semi-finals closing in, we’ve already witnessed many clashes of titans in this year’s IEM Katowice event. In just a few hours, FaZe Clan goes up against Mouz in an epic three-game series. Who comes out the victor?
Both Mouz and FaZe are looking pretty strong as we head into the semi-finals of the series. FaZe Clan ranks 2nd in the World Rankings for CS2 teams, while Mouz ranks 5th. So it’s not going to be an easy game for either team. One thing’s for certain, though, the series is going down as one for the history books!

Current Team Form
FaZe is looking like the most consistent team of the season, getting several “near” finishes in major tournaments. They secured a Top 3 finish at the Blast Premier World event in 2023 and also won the ESP Pro League Season 17.
Mouz, on the other hand, has had a shaky season at best. Their biggest achievement recently has been reaching the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas event in 2023. However, they ended the series against ENCE with a 0-2 defeat.
As for their performance on IEM Katowice 2024, both teams are looking strong with a solid win rate. FaZe Clan won 3 out of 4 series they played in the Group Stage. Mouz managed to secure dominant victory in all three series in which they appeared.
Current Player Form
Although Mouz plays well as a team, when you take a magnifying glass to their player’s individual performance, you won’t find anything special. The player stats are pretty average. However, when it comes to team play, Mouz is fully capable of giving FaZe a run for their money.
Then again, FaZe Clan also prefers focusing on team effort rather than individual performance. On top of that, David “frozen” Čerňanský’s performance this past month looks almost unstoppable. And it seems he’s ready to take Mouz head-on!

The last time the two teams faced off against each other was during the Blast Premier World Final 2023 semi-final. While FaZe came out ahead, securing a dominant 2 – 0 victory in the previous series they played, Mouz now looks fully geared to take revenge.That being said, we still believe FaZe is the stronger team with better teamplay and coordination.
