With the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I on the horizon, Bleed Esports appoint a new coach for their Dota 2 team
As the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia (SEA) 2023 Tour 3: Division I looms ahead, Bleed Esports have enlisted the services of Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen, who has a TI16 runner-up medal, to join their ranks as the Dota 2 coach. MISERY will step in to fill the shoes of Lee “Forev” Sang-don, who recently departed the SEA outfit after a commendable five-month tenure.
MISERY is set to return to competitive Dota 2 with the Bleed Esports job, marking his first assignment since his coaching stint with TSM during TI11. After enduring two lackluster seasons in the DPC 2023, the organization is placing high hopes on the new coach, anticipating a much-needed positive transformation.
Let's welcome @MiSeRyDOTA as he joins our #DOTA2 squad as our new coach! 🙌
We are looking forward to achieving great results with this latest addition to our roster for the upcoming DPC season.
Be sure to drop him a follow! 🙇#GOBLEED #DPCSEA pic.twitter.com/tdxWrZkifl

Despite having a wealth of experience in competitive Dota 2, MISERY has flown under the radar in recent months. His decision to join Bleed Esports in an unexplored region, therefore, comes as a big surprise. He was previously associated with TSM as their coach, but departed following the team's 19th – 20th place finish at TI11. MISERY will reunite with Kim “DuBu” Doo-young at Bleed Esports, who played under the former TSM and paiN star during his short-lived coaching stint at the American club.
Bleed's showing in the DPC 2023 has been far from impressive. Throughout Tours 1 and 3, the team faced a constant battle to avoid relegation, ultimately finishing in sixth place in Division I by a slim margin. Despite a strategic roster overhaul before Tour 2, which saw the inclusion of seasoned veterans like Daryl “iceiceice” Koh and Djardel “DJ” Mampusti, the anticipated turnaround in results failed to come to fruition.
With the addition of MISERY to the Bleed Dota 2 organization, the team now boasts an even greater stock of experience. Alongside the presence of two young core players, JaCkky and Kordan, who possess remarkable skill, the focus will shift towards identifying the optimal drafts and playstyle to unleash their full potential.
