MinD_ContRoL and GH leave Nigma Galaxy

After spending many years with this roster, MinD_ContRoL decided to leave Nigma Galaxy’s roster.

Dota 2 is a very dynamic game where players leave and join new teams all the time. However, some Dota 2 players have been together with their teammates for years, and Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov is among them. The Dota 2 legend has been staying with one of the longest-lasting Dota 2 squads for years, but it seems like enough is enough.

MinD_ContRoL leaves Nigma Galaxy

Whether we like it or not, all good things come to an end, and MinD_ConRol’s stay with Nigma Galaxy is among them. After founding the team alongside the likes of KuroKy, the Bulgarian offlaner decided it was time to move on. Consequently, he parted ways with his old teammates KuroKy and GH after playing close to a decade together.

Here is what Mind_ContRoL Dota 2 had to say on Twitter – “Indeed from 5Jungz to Nigma Galaxy it was one of the best times in my life

To be honest, many Dota 2 players are not surprised by MinD_ContRoL’s decision. In fact, a lot of them believe that it came too late because Nigma Galaxy has been a Tier 2 team for a while now. The last couple of years have been really hard for the players because they did not take part in almost any events. What’s more, the squad went through loads of roster changes, none of which was worth it.

Besides the departure of one of the longest-lasting members, Nigma Galaxy also lost GH, Yuma, and Mikey. This is a big hit for the organization, but as we’ve mentioned earlier, it was just a matter of time before it happened.

What’s next?

Considering MinD_ContRoL spent almost his entire professional career alongside KuRo (he met GH later), it will be very interesting to see what he’s up to next. It is worth remembering that the Bulgarian player was a stand-in for OG twice, and he also played alongside other teams when needed. For example, he also played for Team SMG and he was also a part of  Team dudley boys at Pinnacle:25 Year Anniversary. In other words, we wouldn’t be surprised if he decides to join one of these squads.
