MIBR vs Cloud9 Preview and Predictions: IEM Rio 2023

The stage is set for the first-ever MIBR vs Cloud9 matchup as the two teams are set to battle it out in the IEM Rio 2023 Upper Bracket Quarterfinals

Cloud9 will look to overcome their Paris Major 2023 setback with a convincing win over MIBR when the two sides meet at the IEM Rio 2023 Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. The Brazilian sides are no pushovers though, as they come into the match on a three-match winning streak. Cloud9 will still be the CSGO betting favorites for this tie, but fans can expect to enjoy a fascinating cross-continental battle.

MIBR

Made In Brazil, better known as MIBR, have been a formidable presence in the American CSGO circuit for years. They are yet to win any S-tier titles, but they came close on several occasions. They have been in excellent form lately, having won four of their last five matches. MIBR, therefore, will feel confident to challenge Cloud9 for the bragging rights.

Cloud9

Despite winning the BetBoom Playlist Urbanistic and finishing second in the ESL Pro League Season 17, Cloud 9 crashed out of the Paris Major 2023 European RMR. They could not avenge their ESL Pro League Grand Final defeat to FaZe when the two teams met in a do-or-die Paris Major European RMR B First Place Decider tie. The Russians will try to leave that disappointment behind and return to winning ways when they take the stage to face MIBR.

When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
