M80 vs The Guard Preview – VCL NA Mid-Season Face Off

The top two teams of VCL NA face each other as we head to the Upper Final of the Mid-Season Face Off.

Both M80 and The Guard want to prove they are the champions of VCL NA. These two squads ended Split 1 with the most round differential points, then hurtled through the Upper Quarterfinals and Semifinals to meet in the Upper Finals. The winning squad will ensure a spot in the Grand Final, while the loser has to fight in the Lower Final. 

M80

We have seen domination from M80 throughout VCL. The Canadians only lost one series against The Guard but still outperformed trent’s squad in terms of round differentials. After a big roster change, it seems the addition of Zander, NiSMO and eeiu brought skyrocketing success, and fans believe that M80 can become a franchise team to represent North America.

The Guard are the perfect team to face against M80’s power. They remained side-by-side with the Canadians, acquiring the second-highest round differential points. On top of that, they are the only team winning against M80 in this event, giving them an extra edge in confidence.
