The GamerLegion in-game leader knows how to get the best out of his ace player
GamerLegion’s Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek showcased exceptional leadership skills as he guided his team to an extraordinary journey culminating in the grand final of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
The Major journey for the Germany-based roster didn't start as planned, as they suffered defeats against Complexity and TheMongolz, leaving them with an initial 0-2 record. They have, nevertheless, shown resilience and are now on the verge of claiming the tournament title, in what has already been an event marked by unexpected results.
iM is currently the second-highest-rated player of all time at a Major (Rating 2.0 Min. 5 maps):

Ivan “iM” Mihai’s exceptional form has been instrumental to GamerLegion’s Paris Major success. After GamerLegion’s Paris Major Semi Final win against Heroic, iM boasts a rating of 1.44 in the competition. The Romanian is well ahead of his nearest competitor Mathieu “ywOo” Herbaut (1.36), whom he will face in the Grand Final. iM, who has amassed his 1.44 rating across 10 maps, is currently the second highest-rated player in Major history. NAVI’s Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev can only better him, who grabbed the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 MVP award with a 1.47 rating.
iM rose up to the occasion and delivered a 1.40-rated performance against Heroic to spearhead his team to the Grand Final. The 23-year-old scored 15 frags to put his team 10-5 ahead on the deciding map on Mirage. GamerLegion won the map 16-6 and set up a Grand Final meeting with local boys Vitality.
siuhy says that creating the perfect support environment for iM makes him thrive.
“Just keep him comfortable. Give him what he needs, listen to him, and be patient. He's got great talent, he's becoming one of the best really fast and he's really good at what he's doing. You just need to give him what he needs. Listen to him.”
GamerLegion coach Ashley “ashhh” Battye also heaped praise on his prolific rifler.
“I think he’s found a lot of belief in himself. The thing with iM is, he’s got such unbelievable confidence! Like a guy who never ever loses confidence and the whole time I’ve known him, I think that’s the sort of trait that you can’t find in a lot of people. You can look around for the best part of the world and a lot of people don’t have that, and he steps up in the moments. He keeps his composure and he keeps getting better. I think he’s loving it, he’s loving the attention, he’s loving the fact that he’s performing. He’s loving the fact that everyone knows he can perform, and he’s just living the life, I guess.”
