The match that could easily be the finals, JD Gaming vs T1 will decide which team gets the shot to write history.
The 2023 League of Legends World Championship is nearing its end! While Bilibili Gaming is preparing to face Weibo Gaming on Saturday in the first semi-final, JD Gaming has to brace themselves against T1, who made and example out of their last opponents. The “golden road” versus the 4th Worlds title for Faker and his team – but only one can move forward to the end of the line!
JD Gaming vs T1 Preview
JD Gaming
JD Gaming is the most dominant team if we go off stats. While they lost 2 matches compared to T1’s 1, they have the fastest average game time – and they only faced 1 team from the Western regions, Team BDS.
JD Gaming has a style that is very hard to deal with: they don’t find huge leads in the early stages of a match, but they don’t give their opponents much to work with either. After the laning phase ends, they look to get the first Baron Nashor of the game, or force a fight around it, which they tend to win thanks to their great midgame drafts. The only times they have been stopped is when their opponents could mimic their strategy, as LNG Esports and KT Rolster played a very similar style to JDG’s in their victories – but mimicry is far from the original.
JD Gaming Roster
- Bai “369” Jia-Hao
- Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok
- Zhuo “knight” Ding
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk
- Lou “MISSING” Yun-Feng
T1
The Unkillable Demon King and his disciples have proved themselves yet again. Faker and co. only lost a single game in all the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, and that was against their kryptonite, Gen.G. Outside of that match, T1 has defeated every opponent they faced in a dominant fashion, including Bilibili Gaming and LNG Esports, and they didn’t drop a match against either of them.
While T1 can play like a typical Korean team, their strength lies in their unpredictability. They can end games out of nowhere, and as they showed against LNG, they can stay dominant throughout the whole match. Their toplaner, Zeus is also the best player on his role currently, which could mean some trouble for JDG.
T1 Roster
- Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun
- Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
- Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
JD Gaming vs T1 Predictions
This match could be the greatest battle of the 2023 World Championship. JD Gaming has some incredible players and the most oppressive style out of all participants, while T1 is just an all-around stellar team. This might be the time for 369 to whip his Ornn out in order to keep Zeus in check, while Kanavi needs to track Oner in the jungle if they want to get ahead of T1. If JDG doesn’t let T1 get early leads, they are the favourite of this bout, but if T1 finds plays, they can upset the competition.
