After weeks of gaming, T1 vs BLG was the Worlds 2024 Grand Final, and what a series it was set up to be.
T1 vs BLG, somehow we go into a Grand Final with T1 not only being the underdog but being the major outsiders. If we base it on pre-Worlds predictions, that is. As for T1 at Worlds, well, it's been typical T1 at Worlds. The team has consistently managed to get ahead and beat teams that they were not expected to beat. Can they do it one more time in the Grand Final?
One thing's for sure, it's been a crazy Worlds 2024 for both sides. T1 also had a close call with the West, though ultimately found G2 to be a much easier opponent than many expected. Now, these two titans go head-to-head to secure a spot against Bilibili Gaming in the Grand Final. AS for BLG, they've gone by fairly unassuming this Worlds, and will be heavy favourites for this game.

Below you will find our full live recap of this Bo5 series. We'll update it throughout each match.
T1 vs BLG Game 1 Recap
It's the start BLG wanted, picking up the first blood in the T1 jungle as they set the perfect trap. BLG continued to lead the early game, with T1 looking out of sorts of the Grand Final stage early on. While the game went quiet for a bit after the early kills. A big moment for T1 came when they managed to steal away some of the Grubs from BLG, and close the gold gap slightly thanks to some tower plates. T1 immediately followed that up by getting two kills on the top side of the map to almost even out the gold lead. We very much have a Game 1 on our hands already.
BLG, not be outdone, came back flying into the game thanks to an amazing play in the mid lane. Ash is able to secure a stun with the ultimate, and the team fight win saw BLG snowball into 3 towers, and a 4k lead. BLG never let off the push, with Baron secured so early, by the 25th minute BLG were deep inside the T1 base and going for the win. T1 did what they could, but it was next to nothing. Another Ash Ultimate secured an opening kill and with minions all over the base it was Game 1 secured for BLG.

T1 vs BLG Game 2 Recap
Look away, T1 fans. It's a repeat of Game 1, as T1 is caught out, and first blood goes over to BLG once again. T1 did get a kill back, but BLG remained ahead. That looked to be changing, however, with T1 catching some big kills in the top side, claiming two kills on BLG and going into the lead for the first time. T1 wants to make this a series, claiming more kills and gaining more of an advantage. The game is the opposite of Game 1, with BLG chasing T1 around like a lost puppy.
In typical T1 style, once they had a lead, they went back to playing the map and playing the long game. T1 managed to get a Baron shortly after after BLG attempted to take out Faker. With Baron, T1 couldn't be stopped as they charged into the BLG base. As the players fell, as they did the turrets and we were tied up in Game 2. BLG continued to keep control of the game, with T1 running out of ways to get back, with just picks onto BLG as the only real option.

BLG vs T1 Game 3 Recap
BLG claimed first blood once more, in their first game over on the blue side of the map. A might be a better start and middle-game transition for BLG in Game 3. Unlike in Game 2, they've managed to secure a lead in this game and extend a lead over T1. While kills slowed down by the 15-minute mark, BLG had pulled away with a 5k lead. A huge team fight win for BLG allowed them to claim a free Baron as they took full control of Game 3.
It was only a matter of time, but it did finally come. BLG stormed into the T1 base, ripping it open after a pick onto Faker. With that, the base fell in moments, as BLG secured the advantage once again in this series.

T1 vs BLG Game 4 Recap
Another game, another first blood over the side of BLG. They managed to extend their lead, however, a big 1v1 in the top lane at the 10-minute mark from Faker saw the gap close to just a few hundred. In this deciding game of the series, that could be a huge moment for T1. They continued off that play to claw back, by 15 minutes, T1 had moved ahead and claimed the Rift Herald as they tried to take us to a 5th game.
T1 found the fight they needed just after the 20-minute mark, setting up a mid-lane fight, claiming two members of BLG. They sent the Rift herald and the Grubs down mid while they moved to Baron. BLG looked to steal it. T1 managed to claim it, but BLG chased. Zeus was able to give his life to save his team, as T1 got the Baron onto four. T1 continued their lead with Baron, but not much else happened until the next Baron. T1 once again secured it, and got away unhurt. With this Baron, T1 did manage to do enough to end the game, and take this series to a fifth and final game

BLG vs T1 Game 5 Recap
It might be the final game, but it was BLG once again with the first blood. This time on Faker in the mid-lane. It was, however, T1 that took an early lead, claiming two kills and getting more control over the map. It would take until the 10-minute mark for BLG to get back into the game, but get back they did. Game five was, understandably the most tense of them all, with very little major happening until the 28th minute, and then it all started. BLG found the start of the fight, but Oner and Faker came together to save the fight. They aced the members of BLG, as they took a huge advantage in this final game. It cannot be understated, but Faker is carrying this T1 team onto his back on the way to the trophy. A gang in the top lane looked to have Faker dead and buried, but he's able to turn the fight.
With that, and just one member of BLG left, T1 pushed for the base and won Worlds 2024.
