The 22-year-old leaves Cloud9 to seek an active roster spot elsewhere.
Cloud9 has bid farewell to Timofey “interz” Yakushin via Twitter. The ELEAGUE Major 2018 champions had benched the rifler in January to bring in Timur “buster” Tulepov.
End of an era 😔

Interz had a longstanding partnership with core Cloud9 players Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov, Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov, and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov. They had been playing together since their Gambit Youngsters days back in 2019. An underwhelming end to the 2022 season prompted Cloud9 to make changes in the squad, and they moved interz to the inactive roster earlier this year.
Interz played a vital role in Gambit's rise to prominence. His incredible form helped Gambit to top the IEM Katowice 2021 standings and replicate that success in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021. These back-to-back triumphs sent Gambit to the summit of the global rankings. The Russian quintet retained the top spot till July 2021.
Thanks a lot to the @Cloud9 organization for everything 💙
Unfortunately they no longer need me.

When Interz First Signed for Cloud9
Gambit briefly played under the “Players” label before Cloud9 came knocking on their door. In April 2022, interz and his colleagues signed up for the US organization. The group tasted immediate success with Cloud9 by winning the IEM Dallas 2022 crown. Interz, who averaged 1.04 en route to the title, was Cloud9's standout performer in the final stages of the tournament.
Interz boasted a 1.47 rating against BIG in the Semi-Finals. He followed it up with a 1.29 stunner against ENCE in the following tie. Interz, who averaged 0.99 in 2022, significantly overperformed in these matches to lead Cloud9 to glory.
However, the rifler’s form dipped later in the season and it derailed Cloud9's title ambitions at the IEM Rio Major 2022. Cloud9 emerged as favorites after the likes of Vitality and FaZe failed to progress beyond the Legends Stage. But, they could not take advantage of the situation and bowed out of the competition following a Quarter Final loss to MOUZ.
Interz fell out of favor at Cloud9 later on. In January, he dropped out of the active roster and a few weeks later, Cloud9 released him. The rifler is now a free agent.
