The Kazakhstani-Russian outfit announces the squad shake-up following a below-par start to the year

K23 did not have the ideal start to 2023, so they decided to make some changes to their roster to reverse their wretched run of form. Aleksei “El1an” Gusev and Artem “RAiLWAY” Gradovich have responded to K23's distress signal, while Rassim “Jyo” Valijev and Artem “iDISBALANCE” Egorov left the team

El1an and RAiLWAY will continue their partnership at their new team after their Boston Crab adventure. The duo had played together under the Boston Crab banner and famously knocked out Movistar Riders from the BLAST.tv Paris Europe RMR Open Qualifiers.

Before their Boston Crab chapter, both players honed their skills playing for different Russian teams. El1an spent one and a half years with Entropiq, where he played in events like the PGL Stockholm Major, ESL Pro League Season 15, and the IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In. RAiLWAY had a three-month stint at Aurora before joining Boston Crab, but the 27-year-old would not look fondly back at his time there as it ended with a string of disappointing defeats.

K23 had recruited iDISBALANCE and Jyo in November 2022 as they looked to build momentum following a commendable 9-11th place finish at the IEM Road to Rio. But the duo could not live up to expectations and failed to help their new team qualify for the Paris Major, ESL Challengers Melbourne, and IEM Dallas.

El1an and RAiLWAY's K23 debut will come against the latter's former side Aurora when the two teams meet at the CCT Central Europe Series 5 Playoffs on Wednesday.
