Dota 2: How to Play Beastmaster In The Current Meta

Let’s take a look at one of the best heroes in the current meta.

We're just a few days away until the new Dota 2 update comes out. The current patch has been pretty controversial, and many players have expressed complaints concerning the current meta. Right now, the strongest heroes in the game are those that can push really fast.

Apart from Lycan, who is absolutely broken right now, the second hero that’s really trendy is Beastmaster. Needless to say, this is one of the best heroes when it comes down to pushing because of his abilities and attack speed.

So, what do we actually need to do to win with this hero?

Go to the proper lane, get the needed items, and start pushing

Although Beastmaster can go in pretty much any lane, the hero excels the most whenever he is in the offlane. There, he can easily harras the enemy carry and also farm the jungle. Unless he has to lane against some really deadly combo, Beastmaster should be able to stay on his lane and get the needed experience.

Apart from that, he also has to try to farm as much as possible. In order to be effective in the mid-game, the hero has to get specific items, such as:

  • Vladimir’s Offering
  • Helm of the Dominator
  • Necronomicon

The last two items are those that make a real difference in the game. Once the hero manages to summon his minions, he can quickly push every single tower on the map. However, unlike Lycan, he will need the help of his team-mates to get kills.

What to do in the late game?

Once the late game arrives, your army of minions won’t be as useful as it previously was. However, your ultimate is still one of the strongest disables in Dota 2, so try to use it appropriately whenever you can.

One of the best things that you can do is to smoke with your team-mates and try to pick-off at least one of the core heroes. Once that happens, summon all of your minions, and begin the final push.

Like we mentioned earlier, the new patch is just around the corner. Needless to say, we expect all of the Major heroes here to be nerfed. Feel free to follow us on our social media if you want to learn more about the new update once it arrives. Until then, spam Lycan and Beastmaster as much as you want because they're two of the best heroes right now!
