After winning their Quarterfinal games, these squads have found themselves facing each other for the first time in a match with enormous stakes. Heroic are undoubtedly the favorites here, with their excellent run in this year’s IEM Rio, as well as the most recent Major, where the Norwegians secured the runner-up spot. On the other hand, GamerLegion are attending their first Major here in Paris, and they are writing history, as this roster’s big achievements have mostly been in B-tier tournaments prior to this. Heroic closed out their last game against FaZe with a powerful 16-6 score on Mirage, continuing their domination from the Legends Stage. This kind of performance is not rare from the Norwegians, as they have competed in the Playoffs in all of their previous three Majors. On top of this, considering their recent showcasing of strength in the RMRs, IEM Rio 2023 and Brazy Party, 2023 is looking like Heroic’s year, and a Major win is just what they need!

It would be a lie to claim we expected GamerLegion to reach the Playoffs of this Major, let alone the Semifinals. The Germans barely made it out of the Challengers Stage with a 3-2 record and the worst seeding, which made us doubt this roster amidst great teams like NAVI, NIP, G2 and FURIA. However, this Major has been full of surprises, and GamerLegion played a big part in the wonders with many upsets facing influential names. With their dominating 2-0 victory against Monte in the Quarterfinals, this team is warmed up and ready to face one of the most powerful names of Counter-Strike right now.
