Heroic vs FaZe will be the first Paris Major 2023 Champions Stage Quarter Final tie

FaZe and Heroic, two of the biggest names in the CSGO scene, are set to renew rivalries in Paris's first Champions Stage offering. Both sides enter the fray on the back of a three-match winning streak. Heroic are here courtesy of their 2-1 series win against Liquid, while FaZe saw off their arch-rival Natus Vincere by a similar margin to ensure Champions Stage progression. It would be nearly impossible to pinpoint a clear CSGO favorite for this tie since the teams have been enjoying a similar run of form lately.

Heroic

Heroic registered a routine win on Inferno to start the proceedings, but they could not pull off a clean sweep as Liquid responded with an impressive win on Mirage. The Danes trailed by a round at the interval on Anubis before a match-winning second-half resurgence.

FaZe suffered an early blow in the match as NAVI beat them on Overpass, which the American side chose. Ilya “⁠Perfecto⁠” Zalutskiy’s 1.85-rated display spearheaded his team to victory, but FaZe restored parity with a quickfire 16-5 win on Mirage. NAVI were on the brink of winning the deciding win on Anubis as they led 15-9, however, they could not stop their opponents from mounting a late CT side comeback and clinch the win in overtime.
