HEET take JACKZ out, bring Maka in

Heet have brought Bryan “Maka” Canda into the fold, while Lucas “Lucky” Chastang also returns to the active roster.

HEET will be letting go of 4-time Major attendee Audric “Jackz” Jug, who joined the team as recently as August 2022, and bringing in Falcons star Bryan “Maka” Canda.

The French team is also on its way to reinstating Lucas “Lucky” Chastang from his inactive standing within the organization.

After dropping Aurelien “afro” Drapier and Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro last week, there have been rumors abound about a possible HEET rebuild. According to a report released from 1pv.fr, JACKZ will be replaced by Lucky, and the latter will be joined by Maka and ex-TGJ star Matthieu “Razzmo” Melliot to revamp the underperforming squad.

The report only goes in-depth about the conflicting visions of Jackz and HEET, not going into details regarding reasons behind his exit. The only thing it states to that effect is that the player had advanced a sum total of $75,000 to G2 to trigger his own buyout clause — something HEET was on board with and agreed to reimburse him for. Although the 30-year-old had been part of the team for five months, HEET is yet to reimburse the amount.

Lucky was benched in August 2022, the same month JACKZ joined HEET. He will return to represent the team on the regular after making a recent appearance on the first squad at the European ESL Challenger League Season 43 Relegation, where the team finished in 7th-8th place.

HEET’s latest player Razzmo has only one recorded event to his name as per HLTV stats — a brief stint on DBL PONEY at the ESL National Championship France Autumn 2021. The French side must have been impressed by him somewhere else, though, as he had a rating of 0.64 at that event. Since March of last year, Razzmo has been a member of another French side, TGJ.

The 1pv.fr report also put out that ESL Pro League 5-winner bodyy is slated to join Falcons, and his now-ex teammate afro will be making his way to LDLC. bodyy will be swapping places with Maka in Falcons, which should give Maka some much-needed first-team play time after he had been benched for 3 months. After his departure, the 26-year-old Frenchman will be playing alongside the team’s big-money signing Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, who joined the team after his contract with G2 expired two months prior, and another French legend Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt.

Here is what the upcoming HEET squad may look like:

  • Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge
  • Matthieu “Razzmo” Mellot
  • Lucas “Lucky” Chastang
  • Bryan “Maka” Canda
  • Thomas “Djoko” Pavoni
  • Mattheir “matHEND” Roquigny (Coach)

When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
