Despite a strong start in Division II, the team's recent performances have been subpar, leading to them losing most of their series. As a result, they could not grab a promotion to Division I this season.
On his recent live stream, famous Dota streamer Janne “Gorgc,”, shared his reaction to Old G’s underwhelming season.
“There are rough times for Old G right now guys, very rough times. I’m afraid to write to Ceb. Whenever I see him on, he’s always playing pubs. They lost yesterday to Ancient Tribe I think, and now they cant go to Division I, so yeah, it's rough times for Old G right now.”
Old G required a top-two finish in the division to jump up to Division I, but they failed to make the cut.
Janne “Gorgc” made a humorous remark during his stream about the interesting games that would occur in Division II since Old G would still be a part of the division.
“They’re gonna stay in Div II. But that means we’re gonna get Old G vs Nigma (Galaxy) in Div II and possibly guys, Team Bald, possibly, if we qualify.”
Looking ahead, Old G have two series left in Division II, facing off against both Team Secret and Alliance. They will have to improve their performance over the coming months to compete at their best at The International 12.
