GamerLegion showed some promise at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major, but few would have seen that and assumed they’d make the Playoffs of the next one. They have earned their way through, though, having taken down team after team as they worked their way through the Challengers and Legends Stages. There was little doubt in anyone’s mind that a Ukrainian team would make it to the Playoffs, but few would have put their money on this particular one. After schooling their regional rivals to finalize their Playoffs appearance, Monte looks like a terrific unit with incredible team chemistry. Whether that will be enough to put them in the Semis, though, remains to be seen.
