Here are our picks for the top three title contenders at the Valorant Game Changers 2023 Championship

The Game Changers Championship is on the horizon, and we will be witnessing the eight best female Valorant teams fight for the biggest GC title of the year. The tournament will take place in São Paulo’s Arena CBLOL, starting November 28.

This is the second-ever Championship event in Game Changers, and eight squads will meet in a double-elimination bracket without any group stage games. As a result, any team losing two matches will be out of the event.

Here are our picks for the top three title contenders at the Game Changers 2023 Championship:

G2 Gozen

The former Game Changers Championship title holders are still the favorites to add another S-tier trophy to their shelves. This European roster includes some of the best GC players in the world, including Sarah “sarah” Ahmed and Michaela “mimi” Lintrup.

G2 Gozen’s journey this year has shown the continuation of an incredible record from 2022, as they won the first two stages of Game Changers EMEA. At the end of the year, mimi and her squad faced a disappointing fate in Stage 3 of GC EMEA, only reaching fourth place at the event. However, their experience of performing and winning at such a large stage will come in handy in the upcoming Championship.

Shopify Rebellion (previously Version 1) are going to be the North American favorites at this event, and they have a solid chance of getting their first Championship trophy in 2023. This roster consists of some of the most talented players we have recently seen in Game Changers. Ava “florescent” Eugene is a mechanically gifted prodigy who, under the guidance of world-class IGL Melanie “meL” Capone, will likely provide a spectacular performance.

Moreover, meL herself is one of the best GC players in the world who has consistently been on the top of the North American chart, even in the IGLing role. This core has won the first two Series of GC North America and came in second place on the third one. Such an excellent record this year is bound to continue as we see some of the players from this squad once again on the big stage.

Team Liquid Brazil

With the home crowd advantage, Team Liquid Brazil are going to spread their wings again to go the farthest into their second Championship tournament. This roster could be considered the best GC team in the world by their consistency alone. With world-class members like Vitoria “bizerra” Vieira and Paula “bstrdd” Naguil, they will have the biggest crowd cheering for them at Arena CBLOL.

Liquid have won both Series 1 and 2 of Game Changers Brazil to secure this spot. Moreover, they have consistently secured top marks at Qualifier events and even made it to the third place at Championship 2022. Overall, this is a gem of a group that’s been continuously showing their prowess in the last two years and will have another shot at glory in 2023.
