Fortnite x League of Legends Introduces Vi as Playable Character

League of Legends character Vi debuts in Fortnite tonight!

Fortnite's collaborations of late have been truly remarkable. Since Chapter 3 began, fans could get their hands on characters from Cobra Kai, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Gears of War and much more. We've said it before, and we'll repeat it; nothing stands in the way of Epic Games creating the most inclusive video game in history.

A few months back, Epic agreed to terms with fellow game developer Riot Games to bring League of Legends character Jinx into Battle Royale mode. The crossover served as a promotion for the new Netflix series “Arcane.” While it seemed to be a one-off, Epic Games confirmed today that Jinx's sister, Vi, would join Fortnite's cast.

Vi Joins Fortnite

Jinx became one of the most well-received cosmetic collaborations in Fortnite. It was a historical moment also, considering Riot Games had never allowed any League of Legends characters outside the game's universe. Vi will appear in Fortnite, sporting her look from the Arcane series.

Beginning this evening at 7 PM EST, players can unlock Vi via Fortnite's Item Shop. Her cosmetic offerings include the base skin, an Emote, Pickaxe and Back Bling. Those who purchase the bundle will earn the Piltover's Finest Loading Screen as a bonus.

Here's a list of the in-game item names:

  • Arcane Vi Outfit
  • Memories of Zaun Back Bling
  • Piltover Warden Hammer Pickaxe
  • Punching Practice Emote
  • Piltover's Finest Loading Screen (bundle only)

Those that missed out on Jinx the last time around will have a chance to purchase her outfit and other cosmetics this evening at 7 PM EST. Considering Riot Games titles are now available in the Epic Games Store, we could see more characters from League of Legends down the line; alongside Valorant and Teamfight Tactics. Until then, be sure to check out the Vi skin when she enters the Item Shop later this evening.
