Fortnite: How To Unlock ‘Wakanda Forever’ Emote For Free in Season 5

Learn how to unlock Fortnite’s latest Marvel-themed emote in Season 5.


Several reputable Fortnite: Battle Royale leakers recently revealed that more Marvel Comics characters would receive in-game cosmetics. Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Taskmaster are the latest additions after Marvel invaded Fortnite all last season. All three characters will be available for purchase in the Item Shop via the Marvel Royalty & Warriors Pack. Additionally, Epic Games created an emote of Black Panther’s iconic ‘Wakanda Forever’ gesture. Players can earn this new emote for free by completing the ‘Black Panther Quests.’

How to Unlock the ‘Wakanda Salute’ Emote

Fortnite: Battle Royale players have three weeks to complete a set of Black Panther Quests to unlock the ‘Wakanda Salute’ emote. Here is the entire list of quests:

  • Play matches 0/10 – 10K XP
  • Outlast Opponents 0/500 – 20K XP
  • Play Duo or Squad matches 0/5 – 20K XP
  • Complete all Black Panther quests 0/3 – Unlock ‘Wakanda Salute’ emote

Continued Marvel Crossovers

Several Fortnite leakers, including ShiinaBR, have decrypted files that indicate Black Panther will be a non-player character (NPC) in-game as well. Despite Epic Games’ seasonal partnership with Marvel ending, the collaboration continues in multiple ways. The Marvel Royalty & Warriors back releases this evening in Fortnite’s Item Shop for $25 USD. It will include three skins, three pickaxes and two gliders. Make sure you complete the Black Panther Quests so you can represent the leader of Wakanda effectively.
