Fortnite: Saf Joins TrainHard Esport

Saf is no longer a free-agent after signing with TrainH Esport.

It’s been an interesting year for multiple-time Fortnite tournament winner Rocco “Saf” Morales. In the last 12 months, he left Ghost Gaming, joined Team SoloMid and then became a free-agent to begin 2021. Those familiar with competitive Fortnite know that Saf is one of the most accomplished players in history, so there was no doubt that another esports organization would inquire about him. Some anticipated a Team Liquid or NRG might be the first buyer, but it was actually a France-based esports organization that pursued Saf. The former FNCS Champion has become the first American member of TrainHard Esport.

Saf Joins TrainH

TrainH released a YouTube to coincide with Saf joining their organization. It’s short and sweet, depicting the Chapter 2 – Season 2 Champion doing what he does best – playing Fortnite. Saf is all business, which is evident when looking at his body of work since he began competing back in 2018. Saf adds himself to an insane lineup of players based mainly in Europe, including Falconly, Matsoe, Umplify and Skite. TrainHard’s entire roster could stand toe-to-toe with many of Fortnite’s notable organizations.

A Veteran, Still Hungry for Wins

Like his long-time duo partner Zayt, there’s a case for Saf to appear on the Mount Rushmore of Fortnite. His career highlights include winning ESL Katowice Royale, placing 4th in the Duo Fortnite World Cup and winning FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 2. Saf managed all of those accomplishments with Zayt, and there are no signs of either slowing down. Success in any competitive game is difficult, and Saf’s steady run across three years is remarkable. With the FNCS Semi-Finals looming, the veteran now has added motivation to bring home another championship.
