Fortnite x NBA Community Battles Breakdown

Detailed first from Fortnite data miner iFireMonkey, all players can participate in this event, where they will back one of 30 NBA teams and accomplish quests to move their chosen team up the leaderboard. The event will last four days, and participants can earn a spray and V-Bucks depending on how their team performs. Here is a quick break down of the essential details:

  • The event lasts from May 12 to May 16
  • Sign-ups begin on May 10
  • Daily tasks start on May 12
  • Players need to log in to a specific website and choose one team to support
  • A total of 1 million users (450,000 members and 550,000 fans) can register on the website.

The event breaks quests into two categories - daily and ongoing. The Fortnite leaker explained the differences, “Ongoing tasks are also in-game actions (eliminations, minutes spent in the game, placing at the top) but Members earn points each time they complete them (ex. 10 points for each Elimination). Fans are only able to complete Daily Tasks to earn extra points for their team.”
