Fortnite x Spider-Man: No Way Home brings Tom Holland and Zendaya onto the Island.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 introduced the long-rumored debut of Marvel superhero — Spider-Man. The webslinger ultimately appeared in the Battle Pass at the forefront as the most recent Fortnite x Marvel collaboration. Epic Games did Spider-Man justice, featuring a collection of alternate skin styles and more aptly-themed items. The timing could not have been better, considering the upcoming release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Not many expected to see a specific collaboration between Fortnite and the new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. Typically, that kind of information would leak beforehand, but not this time. Much to the surprise of fans worldwide, Epic Games revealed a Fortnite crossover dedicated to Spider-Man: No Way Home. The collaboration brings Tom Holland’s portrayal of the character into the game alongside Zendaya as MJ.
How to Unlock No Way Home Spider-Man & MJ
Starting tonight at 7 PM EST, Spider-Man’s ‘No Way Home’ collection will be available to purchase in the Item Shop. There are two skins in total — one for each character — and Spider-Man arrives standard with a built-in emote. Additionally, those who buy either skin will receive a Back Bling and Pickaxe. In terms of design, Epic has done it once again.
Spider-Man and MJ look respectively like their real-life actors, Tom Holland and Zendaya. This appearance is not Zendaya’s first in Fortnite. She already exists in the game’s library as Chani from the movie Dune.
While the pricing is not yet available, prospective buyers should plan to spend between 1,200 and 1,800 V-Bucks for each cosmetic outfit. Either should complement the various other Spider-Man Battle Pass rewards and, of course, the Mythic Spider-Man Web-Shooters.
The Spider-Man collaboration is one of many perks in Fortnite’s Winterfest 2021. It’s undoubtedly the most significant, but Epic Games has also revealed an array of free rewards that players can earn from now until January 6. Be sure to check out our other article regarding the winter-themed event.
