Mythic Marvel abilities are a little different after the patch 14.10.
Fortnite Season 4's first patch released earlier this week, which changed the map and added new Mythic Marvel abilities. Doctor Doom, Groot and Silver Surfer were test subjects for these newly introduced Mythic abilities. Some Fortnite players quickly assessed this new feature shortly after the new season launched. Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets became the primary topic of discussion in terms of its power. Although the damage output was not significant by any means, the fireball mechanic had zero cooldown, which players could easily spam against their opponents. The general Fortnite player base collectively voiced their hopes for balanced Mythic items, and Epic has silently rolled out nerfs to the original four abilities.
Fortnite Dataminer Mang0e revealed some of the changes that Epic Games made to multiple Mythic abilities. These nerfs affect all four of the original superpowers from Season 4's launch.

Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets
Doom Chain Lightning Changes (NERFS):
– Environmental Damage decreased from 125.0 → 45.0
– Max Chain Targets decreased from 5 → 3
– Boost cool-down increased from 8 → 10 seconds. pic.twitter.com/8yITg64qzH— Mang0e (@Mang0e_) September 10, 2020
First and foremost, Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets are weaker than they were before the recent patch. The fireballs inflict less damage to player builds, the chain lightning can no longer inflict damage to more than three players at a time and the boost mechanic now has a more extended cooldown period. Unfortunately, players can still spam fireballs from the Arcane Gauntlets, which was the initial concern in the first place. However, the primary Doctor Doom ability is still weaker as a result of these adjustments.
Doctor Doom’s Mystical Bomb

Doctor Doom's Mystical Bomb is also weaker after patch 14.10. This massive fireball used to eviscerate builds and left a lasting fire effect in its path. The Mystical Bomb now inflicts significantly less environmental damage.
Groot’s Bramble Shield
Groot's Bramble Shield Changes (NERFS):
– Ability Cool-down increased from 20 → 30 seconds
– Max Health decreased from 400 → 100
– Max Acceleration decreased from 1500 → 800
– Ground Friction decreased from 0.4 → 0.01
– Movement Speed decreased from 1000 → 800 pic.twitter.com/oXyYcZdYLi— Mang0e (@Mang0e_) September 10, 2020
Groot's Bramble Shield received more nerfs than any of the four original Mythic abilities. It now has a longer cooldown, heals for less damage, moves slower and causes less ground friction. Although not many were campaigning for Bramble Shield adjustments, Epic did a number of Groot's Mythic ability.
Silver Surfer’s Board

Silver Surfer's Board also suffered the same fate as Groot and Doctor Doom. The cooldown period for this glorified Glider Redeploy increased by five seconds. Similar to Groot's Bramble Shield, Silver Surfer's ability was already balanced, but it received a nerf regardless.
All in all, it's refreshing to see at least Epic's willingness to adjust Mythic abilities after the last two seasons. Let's not forget that Midas' Drum Gun and Brutus' Minigun from Chapter 2 – Season 2 remained extremely powerful throughout the entire season. However, it would be nice if Epic could communicate these changes to the community with patch notes.
