Fortnite Concept Royale 2022: How to have your Art Featured In-Game

Fans of Fortnite Battle Royale can have their concepts featured in-game starting today with the second edition of Fortnite Concept Royale 2022.

Fortnite’s Concept Royale contest initially premiered in June 2021 where designers had to create a unique winter-themed Fortnite outfit to be featured in-game. Epic Games received thousands of entries and eventually selected two winners. Both pieces of art appeared in Fortnite as purchasable skins during Winterfest 2021. Concept Royale is a surefire portfolio booster for those willing to submit their designs.

Epic Games has announced a second Concept Royale contest after the success of its first iteration. Beginning today, willing participants can enter their best spooky-themed character outfits to celebrate Fortnite’s annual Fortnitemares event. Winners will see their art in-game later this year and collect $2.5K USD each. We have all the information on how to enter below.

How to Enter Concept Royale 2022

Designers looking to enter Concept Royale 2022 must first choose an original character worthy of becoming a Fortnite skin. Once that’s done, the rest of the process is relatively simple. Your next step is to follow Fortnite’s official Twitter or Instagram accounts and enter the contest by utilizing #ConceptRoyaleContest2022. However, keep in mind that you only have one chance since Epic Games limits entries to one person.

The submission period is now open, and you’ll have until April 5 before noon ET. That should give you plenty of time to produce an eye-catching Fortnitemares character concept. Epic, like last year, will only select two winners, so make it count. You must be at least 13 years of age to participate in Concept Royale 2022.

Scoring Criteria

Here is the judging criteria per the contest’s rules page:

  • Unique Use of Theme (1-5 points)
  • Fun Factor (1-5 points)
  • Overall Visuals (1-5 points)

Now you have all the information you need to enter this year’s Concept Royale. It’s unclear how much the skins will cost when they arrive in the Item Shop. Last year’s winners — Frigid Forgoer and Nalia — rang in at 1,200 V-Bucks each. Fans could also purchase a bundle including both characters for 1,600 V-Bucks.
