Fortnite: BLAST to Produce all FNCS Events in 2022

Epic Games struck a deal with BLAST to handle FNCS production in 2022.

Global media esports media network BLAST announced today it would handle all Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) productions in 2022. This collaboration alongside Epic Games began in Chapter 2 Season 7, with the unique FNCS All-Star Showdown. BLAST returned one season later for the FNCS Grand Royale and hit a home run with its production of another high-stakes Fortnite competition.

The occasional collaboration between Epic and BLAST has now become a full-fledged partnership. Starting today with FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1, BLAST will handle the production for all of Fortnite’s major tournaments this year. BLAST brings a level of professionalism to the FNCS while promising to deliver an enjoyable experience to viewers worldwide.

Fortnite x BLAST Continues Through 2022

The esports media network found its footing in other games such as Counter-Strike, VALORANT and DOTA 2. BLAST’s reputation opened the door for collaboration with Epic Games to provide Fortnite fans a polished viewing experience. Leo Matlock — BLAST’s MD of Development — commented on the Fortnite partnership:

“We are delighted to be able to establish this year-long partnership with Fortnite. BLAST has been able to build trust and a fantastic working relationship with the Fortnite Competitive team to create incredible experiences for the community. We loved every minute of FNCS All-Star Showdown and FNCS Grand Royale and have amazing plans for FNCS Chapter 3…”

FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 begins today with the first of two back-to-back Qualifiers. Duos in each of Fortnite’s seven regions are vying for a spot on the Semi-Finals or Grand Finals—depending on the outcome over the next four days. BLAST will handle production duties along the way and throughout the entire year.
