Epic Games reveals details about the upcoming Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) in Chapter 3 Season 1.

Nearly three months have passed since the last major Fortnite competition, and a lot is different nowadays. Epic Games decided to switch the primary tournament format from Trios to Duos. The developers also launched Chapter 3 Season 1, which included a new map, weapons and mechanics to master.

Competitive Fortnite's driving force lies within its prize pools and major tournaments. Since 2019, the Fortnite Champion Series has been the flagship event. Thousands of players worldwide have attempted to win a piece of several multi-million dollar prize pools and the coveted Axe of Champions in-game reward. The FNCS is a pinnacle esports event that all competitive players hope to conquer in their careers.

Until today, Epic Games remained quiet regarding specific information for the first FNCS of 2022. ESTNN has all the details to help you understand FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1, including the format, scoring system and prize distribution across all seven regions.

FNCS Community Cup

The last bit of information included in Epic's FNCS blog post revolves around a Community Cup. Following a trend of late, the developers have created another FNCS-themed skin for Chapter 3 Season 1. Moreover, players can earn cosmetics for free through the FNCS Community Cup. The tournament, which goes live on February 28, offers a free outfit and Back Bling to top-performers in each region. We'll be sure to cover this in-depth later.

FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 begins February 17. Whether you are a competitor or viewer, this is the most exciting time as Fortnite's best goes toe-to-toe in search of ultimate glory.
