Ex-Space Soldiers Roster Exodus Begins, Yam and Calyx look for New Homes

Ex-Space Soldiers players Buğra “Calyx” Arkin and Yaman “yam” Ergenekon have announced that they are currently open to offers from other Counterstrike: Global Offensive squads.

Two Ex-Space Soldiers players, Buğra “Calyx” Arkin and Yaman “yam” Ergenekon, announced today that they are free agents and open to offers from other teams. This morning, Calyx posted a tweet saying that he is now a free agent and open to exploring offers from both European and North American teams. He marks the first member of ex-Space Soldiers to leave a roster that has had trouble since the departure of İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş.

A few hours later, Yaman “yam” Ergenekon revealed on Twitter that he also was no longer playing for Ex-Space Soldiers. It is unclear if the team parted ways with these players, or if they decided to leave on their own accord. Regardless, ex-Space Soldiers is now down to only three players, including Calyx.

The team itself has not performed well in the past months. They failed to win a single map at both the European Minor earlier this year and their recent appearance at ESL Pro League Season 9.

Unfortunately for both of these players, there are few spots open on contender teams. Most teams have solidified their rosters at this point. Squads like Cloud9, NRG, Vitality, G2, and ENCE have filled their available spots. These players could, however, find a home on several tier-2 teams.

As of right now, the current ex-Space Soldiers lineup is as follows:

  • Ahmet “paz” Karahoca
  • Ömer “imoRR” Karataş
  • Buğra “Calyx” Arkin (looking for another team)
  • Canpolat “hardstyle” Yildıran (coach)
