Over the next couple of months, twenty-four of the world's best CSGO teams will be doing battle ahead of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 tournament later this year. What is the format for the ESL Pro League Season 16?
The ESL Pro League Season 16 will pit 24 teams against each other across two stages – the group stages and the playoffs. The playoffs will divide the 24 teams into four groups of six. Each group will be a single round-robin and each team will play each other once. Each series will be a best-of-three. The team that finishes in first place will automatically qualify for the quarterfinals. The teams that finish in second and third will advance to the round of twelve.
The playoffs will place teams into a single-elimination bracket, where every match except the grand final will be a best-of-three. The grand final will be a best-of-five.
How is the prize pool distributed in the ESL Pro League Season 16?
The 24 teams will be competing for a share of the $835,000 prize pool. Here is how the money is distributed amongst the teams.
