ESL Gets Kunkka for Midas Mode 2.0

For those of you who have no idea about Midas Mode, it is basically a new type of game mode which got developed by MoonDuck. Having said that, this year's event is definitely going to be even crazier. After all, there are already a couple of very powerful heroes present.

The latest addition to the squad is Kunkka, who will be acquired by the ESL Team. In their recent (very sarcastic) statement, they start by saying how they tried contacting Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner multiple times, but he never answered. “As a result, we’ve had no choice but to sponsor our own hero… Therefore, we are not proud to but requested to announce that ESL will be taking over Kunkka for Midas Mode 2…”

After that, the post continues as ESL claim that Kunkka will be their mascot for ESL One Hamburg 2019. What’s more, they are even stating that people should opt for getting the more expensive ticket because they provide a better value for the event. Of course, this is all done in a very professional and sarcastic way, which is pretty cool.

What to Expect

It is possible to see some fantastic teams there, such as Evil Geniuses. In fact, they purchased all the cliffs on the Dota 2 map. This means that we will have some amazing, meme-worthy action very soon. In addition to them, several more famous personalities will be joining. However, we still do not know the exact number of participants. It is very likely to get some updates about this soon.

Midas Mode 2.0 itself will take place in late September to early October in Denver, Colorado. If you wish to find more information about this event, make sure to visit their official page.
