Dota 2: VP’s new roster is revealed

This is the new roster of Virtus.Pro.

Yesterday was very interesting for the CIS Dota 2. It turned out that VP and Na’Vi were involved in a controversy around one of Na’Vi’s players – Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov. According to Na’Vi’s CEO, this player decided to join VP after taking advantage of a term in his contract. As a result, T1 champions will be playing with Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya.

Roster changes in VP

Now, one day later, Virtus.Pro officially announced their roster changes. This was a very expected move especially after the teams’ poor performance in the last couple of months. Despite having some of the best individual players, their team play was just not there. As a result, Virtus.Pro was eliminated from the Leipzig Major without winning a single game

As a result, Egor “epiceptick1d” Grigorenko and Vitalie “Save-” Melnic are no longer part of the active roster. Instead, they will remain inactive for now but there will be more information about them soon. Apart from Zayac, the other new VP player is Zaur “Cooman” Shakhmurzaev, who is currently a stand-in for the next set of DPC qualifiers.

After the changes, this is what VP’s roster looks like:

  • Zaur “Cooman” Shakhmurzaev
  • Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko
  • Roman “Resolut1ion” Fominok
  • Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov
  • Alexei “Solo” Berezin

It will be very interesting to see if VP’s new roster will be able to finally break the curse. We can’t wait to see them in action against Natus Vincere. Needless to say, this will be more than just another match.

We can only hope that VP will get back on the winning streak yet again. After all, they're one of the most notable Dota 2 teams in history.
