Virtus.Pro is one of the teams that went through drastic changes in the last couple of weeks. Their “immortal” roster was shattered after the poor performance at TI 9. Despite the fact that they found good substitutes for Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov, the team was still unable to qualify for the MDL Chengdu Major. In fact, this was the first time in ages that they weren’t the strongest team in any CIS qualifiers.
Although they couldn’t get to the Major, they were able to secure their slot for the Summit 11. Unfortunately, the visa issue strikes again and takes down yet another team.
https://t.co/RghpmPyTHr will skip DOTA Summit 11.

It’s a shame when players miss out on such opportunities. Hopefully, the teams will be able to prevent those visa issues in the future.
We are yet to see which team will fill in the gap left by VP. One thing is certain, the tournament will not be the same without the CIS powerhouse.
