Dota 2: Vici Gaming Part Was With 3 Team Members

Vici Gaming has been one of China's most dominant Dota 2 teams for many years. In fact, some people even regarded it as the best. Sadly, the organization hasn’t lived up to the expectations in the last couple of years. Consequently, Vici Gaming decided to part ways with Guo “Xm” Hongcheng, Wang “Liekkas” Yutian and Pan “Fade” Yi.

The decision

To be honest, most people are not surprised that Vici Gaming decided to part ways with some of their players. In the last couple of years, the Chinese Dota 2 scene was just a mere shadow of its former glory. In fact, PSG.LGD was the only team from the region that could defeat the powerful Western Europeans.

Even though it was among the best, Vici Gaming slowly but steadily became a Tier 2 team. Fade, and the rest were unable to win any big event and eventually missed out on The International 11. Needless to say, this was a huge blow to the team, so the organization decided it was time for something new.

Most people did not expect Vici to release Fade, considering he’s been a part of the team for less than 1 year. That said, Liekkas Xm has been with Vici for longer, but they did not meet the organization’s expectations.

What’s next?

We are just a few days away from the 2023 DPC roster lock. This means that Vici Gaming will most likely announce which 3 players will fill in the gap left by the three above. Even though we do not have any official information, we believe that the organization will decide to add young players that do not have any experience. It seems like this is the way to go because teams like OG have proven that it works.

It is unlikely that Vici will try to add some of the well-known players in the region because of the buyout clauses in China. There have been rumors that organizations may have to pay a couple of millions to get a player they want. Needless to say, there is no need for Vici to go through this when China has tons of talented players that the organization can choose from.

Interestingly, the other remaining Vici Gaming players will continue to be a part of the current roster. Be sure to follow us for more information if you want to know more about Vici’s future. The new DPC starts in just a few days from now, so we expect to have tons of interesting matches to watch.

It goes without saying, but we can also provide you with the hottest Dota2 betting websites where you can punt all sorts of markets and find good odds.
