Vici Gaming is one of the most successful Chinese Dota 2 teams. They proved this yet again after another amazing DPC season. In fact, many people even thought that they will be one of the main favorites to win TI 9. However, this did not happen, even though they had a very solid start.
Vici Gaming Post TI 9
Once the tournament ended, the teams’ player Pan “Fade” Yi was involved in a big controversy. He was supposedly approached by Royal Never Give Up during TI 9 itself in order to make a move to their team. However, this information turned out to be completely false.
Despite that, it seems like Fade had had a little bit too much and decided to quit Dota 2. That said, this only lasted a couple of days because he ended up joining another Chinese team – Team Aster.

Since Fade left the team, Vici Gaming had to look for a fifth member. Fortunately, they found it very quickly. Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan, who is an ex-player of Team Serenity, will join forces with the Chinese powerhouse for this DPC season.
Pyw had a vital part in Team Serenity because he was their captain. However, the biggest achievement that the team had was their TI 7 appereance. It just seemed like they were unable to unleash their full potential. Additionally, Vici’s coach for the new DPC season will be Bai “rOtK” Fan.
Paparazzi changes his nick
It seems like changing your nickname is the new trend in China. One of Vici Gaming’s superstars – Zhang “Paparazi” Chengjun will now play under the nickname “Eurus“.
Vici’s roster from 1 to 5:
- Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun
- Zeng “Ori” Jiuayang
- Zhou “Yang” Haiyang
- Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan
- Ding “Dy” Cong
We will be able to watch the new roster in action in around a month from now. They will attend Midas Mode 2.0, an amazing tournament that features some truly legendary teams such as Na’Vi’s TI 1 and Alliance’s TI 3 Champions rosters. Be sure to read our review HERE if you missed it.
