Dota 2 Twitter Abuzz About Endless Tiebreakers in WEU DPC Division 1

The community had a lot to say about the curious proceedings in the most hotly-contested zone.

With the Western Europe Dota Pro Circuit’s first tour coming to a close, three teams remained tied in third place — two-time The International winners OG, current Aegis holder Tundra Esports and potent powerhouse Entity. This has enforced a three-way tiebreaker to decide the last two WEU squads to take part in the upcoming Lima Major.

Although it’s well-known that these teams are pretty evenly balanced, nobody could have predicted that the tiebreakers would go on for two entire rounds without a final result. The same results have repeated twice, with none of the three teams having been able to break the deadlock and take the lead.

A Third Round of Tiebreakers

Tundra Esports, Entity and OG will play a third round of tiebreakers later tonight after a tough night of battles between them. Following this curious series of events, Dota 2 players and personalities took to Twitter to comment on the seemingly endless tiebreakers in the WEU Dota Pro Circuit (DPC).

Wu “Sneyking” Jingjun

The TI-winning captain made his opinion of the tiebreaks clear with a simple, precise and incisive statement

Martin “Saksa” Sazdov

The TI11 champion, who had just played two sets of tiebreakers, summed up his feelings with just three words.

David “MoonMeander” Tan

TSM coach MoonMeander Tweeted that he was a big fan of the never-ending WEU DPC tiebreakers. His old rival Sneyking, though, fired back saying that he wouldn’t enjoy them if he had to take part in them as a player.

Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt

TeaGuvnor, who has been busy these days as a WEU DPC broadcaster, also found entertainment in the tiebreakers and memed about them. He said that he is waiting for today's third and final round of tiebreakers with great anticipation.

Nigma Galaxy

Many people have been pointing out that it was Nigma whose triumph over OG prompted the need for so many tiebreaker matches. Meanwhile, all Nigma did was just ask the teams involved about how long they expected the tiebreakers to go on for.

OG

Snarky as always, OG's Twitter account posted this to much hilarity.

The Old One
When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
