Dota 2: TI 10 Prize Pool Is Now Over $15,000,000

Although it’s been out for less than a month, this year’s TI prize pool is already over $15M USD.

This year is pretty interesting in terms of what happened with the DPC. Even though some people thought that COVID-19 wouldn’t have that much of an impact on the Dota 2 scene, this turned out to be false.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Valve has made a critical decision to postpone this years’ TI 10. As a result, people thought that we wouldn’t even get a Battle Pass this year. Luckily, that wasn’t the case as Valve released the 2020 Battle Pass and it turned out to be the best one yet.

Apart from the usual gifts, for the first time ever, players can unlock a total of three Arcanas. So far, you can only get the one for Wraith King and for Queen of Pain. However, we expect to see the third Arcana for this Battle Pass, which is for Windranger.

The prize pool

Similar to every year, this Battle Pass broke the records once again. After we’ve reached five million dollars in less than a few days, we now reached yet another milestone ⁠— $15M USD. In fact, ever since the Eminence of Ristul (QoP’s arcana) was released, the prize pool has gone up nearly a million. We can only imagine what will happen once Valve releases the Arcana for Windranger as well.

Since we have no idea what will happen with this year’s TI, it’s going to be interesting to see the prize pool. If Valve decides to let people contribute to it until the events get to see the light of day, we could reach a jaw-dropping amount.
