This year’s Dota 2 Arcana Vote is going just the way most predicted it.

Ever since Valve introduced the Battle Pass to Dota 2, the players have been able to vote each year for the next hero who will receive an Arcana. As usual, fans are giving some heroes a lot more love than others (which is why we’ll never see an Arcana for Chen). Having said that, this years’ semifinalists aren’t that surprising.

Dota 2 Arcana Vote

Faceless Void and Ogre Magi

When players think of a hero that can adopt many playstyles, Void certainly comes to mind. The hero has always been pretty popular in PUB games. However, his professional Dota picks are not that common nowadays.

The hero went through many changes, but in his current state Void is pretty good! He is currently the 12th most picked hero, according to DotaBuff. That’s why it is no surprise that Drow Ranger had little to no chance against the mighty Void.

Now, he has a very powerful enemy against him – Ogre Magi. Even though some people think that Ogre is a just one giant meme, he grabbed a place in the semifinals, and he’s definitely one of the biggest (if not the biggest) favorites to win. Let’s not forget the results in the previous round – Ogre completely annihilated Necro with over 70% of the vote.

In addition to that, he’s also currently the 11th most picked hero. A potential Ogre Arcana is surely something worth paying for. We can just imagine what kind of effects and emotes the two heads would have!

Windranger and Specter

One of the most popular mid lanes of all time is Windranger. Apart from a core role, many people play the hero either in the off lane or as a support. This versatility allows many players to pilot the hero, which is one of the reasons for her incredibly high popularity right now – she’s the third most picked hero according to DotaBuff.

What’s more, her last Arcana matchup was Invoker, one of the favorites to win this year. However, with just 0.6% more of the vote, Windranger took him out of the running. Despite that, now she’s facing down Spectre. Similar to Void, many people love to play this alien hero. After all, most consider Spectre to be one of the strongest carries in the game.

If we had to choose one hero here, we’d select Ogre Magi. The hero is already hilarious, so just imagine the potential with an Arcana. On the other hand, in terms of coolness, Void will most likely be a great second choice. Don’t forget to vote because you have just a couple of days left!
