Dota 2 is one of the go-to MOBA for millions of players from all over the world. Most of them like the game because of its high skill cap and the fact that it’s been around forever. However, others are fans of Dota 2 mainly because it provides tons of cosmetic items.

Although Valve does not use the word “skins” to describe them, this is a common term in the gaming community because these items do not have any in-game benefits. They only change the visual appearance of a given hero/item/ability, making it more interesting to look at.

Like CSGO, Dota 2 offers many unique cosmetic items for some of the most popular heroes. These items are divided into different groups based on their rarity. For example, Arcanas are among the most sought-after and rarest items you can get, whereas the “Rare” sets are easier to come by.

Feast of Abcession Bundle

The first item we’d like to include on the list is Pudge’s infamous Arcana. Although it took Valve a while until they released it, this item quickly became really popular. This shouldn’t come as a surprise because Pudge is one of the most famous heroes in the game.

Unlike other Arcanas, you can actually purchase this one. People interested in it have to spend 32.99 EUR, which is a lot of money for an in-game item. However, the perks are definitely worth it because this Arcana makes Pudge even more special.

Aside from changing the hero’s ability icon, it also changes some of his animation, such as his ultimate. Unsurprisingly, the Arcana also affects his model, sound, icon, and animation.

Despite the fact that the item became available in 2017, it continues to be one of the most popular options in the game. If you purchase it from Steam, you will also get a taunt, as well as a special Abcession Emoticon Pack.

Chains of the Black Death

Pudge is one of the few Dota 2 heroes that will give you access to tons of sets. There are all sorts of things to choose from, and all of them seem cool. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so something that seems interesting to us doesn’t mean it will be okay for you.

This amount might seem insane for an in-game item, but it seems like people are willing to pay when they want to stand out.

What’s interesting about the Helm of Tarrasque is that you can find this item in other rarities. For example, a Cursed version of it goes for around $407, which is significantly lower.

Autographed Dragonclaw Hook

Every old-school Dota 2 player knows that the Dragonclaw Hook is one of the most expensive items in the game. Despite the fact it was introduced many years ago, this is one of the rarest and most sought-after items in the game. Hence, people often have to pay a lot of money to get their hands on it.

The standard versions of the item are expensive, but the ones with an Autograph cost even more. Hence, the Autographed Dragonclaw Hook often reaches around $195 USD. This is a lot of money, especially for an item that does not change that many things. For example, it does not change Pudge’s model.

In addition to the Autographed version, you can find a Corrupted and an Inscribed alternative. They are slightly less expensive, but you will need to spend at least $160 and above to get them.

Cursed Chained Slayers Set

If you are looking for an interesting set that your friends won’t have, you can take a look at the Cursed Chained Slayers Set. Some people don’t like this option because it doesn’t seem that special. However, it is one of the rarest items in the game, which explains why you will rarely find more than a few options in the community market. 

The bad news is that people who want to get it must be ready to spend a lot because it usually costs $340 and more. That said, some people might sell it for cheaper, so keep an eye on the steam market for more information.

Frozen Meat Dragger

Some of you may be surprised that there s a hook for Pudge that is more expensive than the Dragonclaw hook, but the Frozen Meat Dagger takes the crown, at least for now. At the time of writing this, this item goes for around $759, which is around 4x the price of the item mentioned above.

Of course, the reason why this item is so expensive is that it is “Frozen”, which is really rare. In case you don’t remember, this item became available in 2013 when it was a part of “Frostivus”. Sadly, you can’t get it anywhere else other than the community market, so check if it is available.
