The International 2022 will be the biggest Dota 2 event of the year and will take place just a few weeks from now. Unlike the event’s previous versions, this one will be held in Singapore. This is the first time when we will see TI in Southeast Asia.

Even though we know the names of almost all participants, the Last Chance Qualifier hasn’t begun yet. The latter will include several teams that will go head to head to decide which 2 of them will receive a slot for TI. The teams that have a chance to play are those who finished 2nd and 3rd in the Regional Qualifiers.

While it is true that there are a couple of big names there, it is safe to say that the favorites have already secured their slot. We know that many people want to bet on Dota 2, which is why this article will cover some of the big favorites you should be aware of.

PSG.LGD

Although there were some concerns regarding PSG.LGD’s performance after Tour 3, the team quickly proved to everyone that they were back on track. Following the unsurprising results in China, Ame and the rest dominated in several events and proved that they would be the leading contender for The International 11.

PSG.LGD won the Riyadh Masters 2022 and even reached the final of the PGL Arlington Major. Sadly, the Chinese failed to win the event after losing the Team Spirit. The two met a couple of weeks earlier, which meant we had the chance to watch TI 10’s Grand Final rematch a couple of times.

Although PSG.LGD is not unbeatable; the team’s consistent results and world-class players make it one of the big favorites to win the event. Unsurprisingly, most betting platforms consider them one of the favorites.

OG

The second spot on the list is for one of the youngest squads that will be a part of The International. Although most of the players are under 18 years of age, they’ve proven to be among the best in the world and have already won two LAN events.

OG’s first big success in this DPC came in Sweden after the team won the ESL One Stockholm Major. Although bzm and the rest didn’t impress that much in the other tournaments, the team won ESL One Malaysia. This was the last big event before The International, which means that OG is definitely on fire.

People who decide to bet on this team should know that OG does not have as much experience as some of the other names on the list. This may not have an impact on the players’ performance, but it is something that you need to take into account.

Entity

Many of you might be surprised as to why Entity is on the list when the team couldn’t even get a direct invitation. While it is true that it may not have the experience of other teams at this event, Entity has proven that it is one of the best in Europe. Hence, we believe that Pure and the rest have what it takes to win.

No one believed Team Spirit would win last year’s tournament, but the CIS powerhouse won life-changing amounts of money. Since everything is possible at TI, we believe that Entity has the chance to surprise everyone.

It definitely won’t be easy for Tobi and the rest because the team will have to compete against the best in the world. However, the players have proven that they know what to do.

Team Spirit

We didn’t think a Dota 2 team could win The International twice a row. However, following OG’s success, everyone knows this is possible, which is why Team Spirit deserves to be on the list.

Although Yatoro and the rest weren’t as dominating as people expected, the team did pretty well in almost all events. After failing to win the Riyadh Masters 2022, Team Spirit defeated PSG.LGD and got the trophy from the second Major of the DPC.

Unsurprisingly, Yatoro and the rest will do everything in their power to win The International for the second time. Sadly, this won’t be easy because squads like OG are really motivated.

Royal Never Give Up

PSG.LGD is undoubtedly the strongest Chinese Team at The International and the main favorite. However, if you want to bet on another team and have access to better odds, you can definitely check Royal Never Give Up. The latter finished first in China’s DPC and proved that they are among the best in the world.

RNGU’s main strength is the fact that the team consists of some of the most experienced Chinese Dota 2 players. Needless to say, the Somnus is the name that stands out because he has been a part of the professional Dota 2 scene for many years.

While it is true that young and ambitious players dominate the modern Dota 2 scene, those with more experience shouldn’t be underestimated. RNGU will definitely be a big name for which you should look.

International 2022 Preview Conclusion

All of the teams mentioned above are among the favorites, so expect to find good betting odds. With that said, The International is one of the most unpredictable Dota 2 events because everything is possible. This means that every single team can win.

Expect more information about the tournament in the upcoming days. We are yet to learn more about the Groups, which is really important. As you know, the 20 teams will be divided into two groups of 10 teams. Only the top 4 will advance to the Upper Bracket, so the participants will have to give everything they offer,
