Fly, who was captaining Evil Geniuses, has joined Talon and will lead the team into the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit. EG had a successful season last year, but failed to perform to everyone’s expectations in The International 10. He will now try his chances in the SEA region.
“The Southeast Asian region has always held a special place in my heart, with its passionate fans and raw Dota power. It will be intense, yes, but I am looking forward to competing under a fresh banner and alongside this talented roster. I am excited for a new era of SEA Dota.” said Fly.
According to Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon, they had been planning to enter Dota 2 for a long time and 2021 seemed a great time to execute the idea. He shared his view on the new team, “We have put together a supremely talented roster with the goal of contending for majors and of course the International next year. With a team of content creators and social media staff, we will look to engage closely with the community so that all our fans can come with us on every step of this journey.”
Talon Esports also includes talented players like Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte and Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman. Here is the full squad:
- Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte
- Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman
- Damien “kpii” Chok
- Brizio Adi “Hyde” Putra Budiana
- Tal “Fly” Aizik
